This weekend, I am in Anaheim for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ annual Religious Education Congress. For as long as I can remember, Congress has been a bright spot in my year: a chance to gather with friends and colleagues from around the country, to catch up, and to be renewed. This year, while it’s a much smaller gathering, Congress signals hope for a new path forward as we emerge into what will be our “new normal”. Every hug and handshake is a reminder of how much I have missed and truly long for human connection. Technology is a great gift that has enabled us to bridge the gaps the pandemic forced upon us. But nothing beats being together in real life.
To that end, I wanted to announce a chance for friends on the East coast to gather with us for a quickly planned Lenten retreat. I’ll include the details below, which come from my dear friend and our Catholic Mom Brand Manager Danielle Bean. If you can’t make it in person, please plan to join us online for what promises to be a lovely day of prayer and friendship!
