Friends already know of my well-established “fangirldom” of CatholicTV’s host of “The Lens”, Matt Weber. Matt’s also one of my favorite authors, and an all-around talented and nice person.
So I was thrilled by the recent announcement that Matt and his co-host Rose Weber, making her television debut at eight months of age, have been nominated for a Boston/New England Emmy® in the 41st Annual Boston/New England Emmy® Awards. I hope you enjoy the segment below, which is chock-full of adorable wisdom!
Congrats @MattWeber_ @CatholicTV #TheLensCTV and ROSE on your Emmy nomination! Fantastic segment full of heart and parenting wisdom! Share on XYou go, Rose!
The CatholicTV Network is pleased to announce that Matt Weber, host of The Lens, has been nominated for a Boston/New England Emmy® in the 41st Annual Boston/New England Emmy® Awards. Weber shares this honor with his unique co-host for the nominated segment: his 8-month-old daughter, Rose.
On his unconventional co-host, Weber said, “My wife and I were double booked that day for things we both had to do and our childcare fell through. So, instead of trying to figure out another last minute option or having one of us cancel our commitments, I just decided to incorporate Rose into my commitment — which was hosting a TV show. So, in writing the script, I made it about Rose, multitasking, and the wisdom of my darling daughter. Necessity is the mother of invention, which involved this father and daughter teaming up to invent together.”
Matt Weber’s nomination in the Commentator/Editorialist category is his third Emmy nomination. Rose’s nomination as co-host/writer is her first.
CatholicTV would like to congratulate the Webers on their nomination and wish them the best of luck at the awards ceremony, which will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Marriott Boston Copley Place.
