A big thank you to my friend and fellow podcaster Chris Cash for inviting me to appear on his great program, Catholic Spotlight. Chris and I had a very fun conversation about the background behind my book, how the idea came together, and the content of the book. Chris is a great interviewer, so I had a blast chatting with him about this exciting time in my life. Listen to the podcast on the player here, or visit Chris’ Catholic Spotlight website for many great interviews with noted Catholics.

This past weekend, I had the absolute honor of visiting with the parishioners of my fellow Diocese of Fresno parish St. Joachim’s in Madera, CA. One of their priests, Fr. Rafael Lavilla, OSJ, kindly invited me to give the introductory remarks for their screening of The 13th Day: The True Story of Fatima. Fr. Rafael, an amazing young priest, struck upon the idea of presenting the film as a fundraiser for the parish’s wonderful Theology of the Body group. Read the rest of this entry →
A huge thank you to my great friend and fellow author Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle for making The Handbook for Catholic Moms one of her top book picks during her recent appearance on Kresta in the Afternoon. Donna-Marie and host Al Kresta spent a few moments discussing my soon-to-be published book, as well as her other favorites of 2009. As we draw near to a publication date, words like these from Donna-Marie mean the world to me. If you missed this conversation, click on the player below to listen.

On the show, Katherine is holding discussions with a broad cross section of women to discuss the wonderful book Choosing Beauty: A 30-Day Spiritual Makeover for Women by Gina Loehr. I had such a great time with Katherine discussing Gina’s chapter on “Fortitude”.
